Unfortunate when the only leadership in the building is an absolute ignoramus with zero hospitality skills. A neighborhood favorite and 13+ years of tried and true turned into an absolute nightmare and we won’t return. Ordered a seafood special only to receive (which we understand it could be a distributor issue) crab leg clusters with nothing in them. The bartender was great and they mentioned the kitchen would fire another cluster to make up the difference. …..it was frozen……still completely frozen….. We asked for either another cluster cooked thoroughly and instead we received a 10% discount and no other resolution. On top of everything, we love seeing a grown man take zero accountability for serving undercooked seafood in their establishment. 10% off for being served undercooked seafood…. The boil is 2 crab clusters, 10 shrimp, 2 potato’s, and 2 corn…. We paid $40 for shrimp and vegetables… Terrible. Don’t eat here if Peter is working—you’ll either be disrespected or served raw food and told that you’re the one that’s wrong.

I was in the Charlotte area visiting the day ater Hurricane Helene and a lot of restaurants had power outages but I was so hungry after a long flight looking for something tasty at 10:00 p.m. Tavern 51 had pretty good reviews and I'm glad I checked the place out because the food was delicious! The bartender was friendly and gave helpful menu recommendations. They have different sauces and dry rubs for the chicken wings. Their shrimp fried rice was fresh and tasty! Great spot to hit up when you need some late night deliciousness. A bit pricey but it was worth it to to me since the food was good.

The best spot by far to get a quick bite and a strong drink when you need it. Just a really cool spot to settle down and relax. A+. Chef's kiss. Come Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Best bartender is here. You're welcome......

Nice bar with plenty televisions for entertainment. The bartender Tabatha was pleasant, helpful and fast ! We were lucky to have ordered from the kitchen because it was late and had the wings - they were nice and not over cooked ! The beef and brocolli was fantastic. Absolutely delicious and I wouldn’t even think to have that at a bar but it was worth it

Why does this place have such good food?! It’s a bar!! Look, you’re gonna come for the drinks, but you’re gonna stay for the food. I got the chicken fried rice and it was gooooooood. The best part is the kitchen opens late. I know Cook Out is right down the street, but when you want good quality made from scratch food late at night, come here instead. I spent over $20 bucks but only because I got drinks with my food.
